Chameleon Glass was created in the spring of 1991 when a group of glass artists traveling to different shows started selling their glass pipes together. They needed to be creative to make money and improve their glass art skills, so they came up with new ways to sell their products. Some of the people in the group were salespeople. Some of them knew how to make art well. They all got together in Trinidad, CA. Some people came, some people left. But many of the same people who started Chameleon Glass are still there and still making the best glass around.

We realized that the market for our art had changed. While most of our artists stayed in the same place, we moved our warehouse to Phoenix and opened a small production shop to make more art. Unfortunately, their move coincided with an interruption in the tour, so they had some extra time on their hands. They used this time to focus on making the sweetest glass pipes possible. Since then, Chameleon Glass has grown a lot because of their skillful craftsmanship and the addition of several skilled artisan glass blowers from all around the Northwest and Northeast. Some of their most popular tobacco accessories are made by over 100 artists in 10 different states.
